Please let me know in order to identify the optic nerve progression after an accident which has caused optic nerve damage, which scan should be done? CT Scan or opththalmoscoppy

Hello
Traumatic optic neuropathy usually settles in 6-8 weeks.
There is no proven treatment for traumatic optic neuropathy...
Whatever treatment we have ...all is effective if provided within initial 8 hrs of trauma
If already 6-8 weeks are over post trauma
Then no need to waste money and time

Hello.....CT scan is done for bone disorder...ophthalmoscopy is used used to view retina and optic disc .. ..increase in intraocular pressure worsen damage ..... These tests are not diagnostic center.. You must consult opthalmologist in the nearest hospital..............
