Honey to a newborn is not encouraged as it can contain bacterial spores which can cause a rare but serious infection
So not even a single drop should be given

Watch for symptoms in next hours–days:
• constipation
• poor suckling
• reduced activity
• weak cry
• droopy eyelids
• feeding difficulty
If any appear → urgent medical evaluation.

Honey should be ideally avoided in newborns.As honey contains spores of clostridium tetanus causing NEONATAL TETANUS and it’s also contain spores of clostridium botulinum
