Occational pain in old fracture
I had ankle sprain in 2016. I had plaster for a month with regular follow up from doctor. Later I improbved gradually with the exercises suggested by him. Eyerything was good, I was running, walking and doing everything a normal person do. But from last 3 days I am walking more than regular. And now I have a mild pain in same area. I am trying not to walk much and applied omnigel on the site. There's no swelling or redness or any visually observational condition. But just a mild and bearable pain. Pain intensity increases when I put my front part of foot on floor and heel is in air during walk. What should I do for that? Right now I am sitting and no pain is there.

Ankle sprains are relapsing problems depending on activity. Once a ligament is torn in runners like you it should be treated very carefully primarily.Anyhow you had a good treatment .before. According to the information you have given you have chronic ligament tear of ATFL ligament. The definitive solution is costly to some extent. The first step is wear ankle support as prescribed by your doctor or physiotherapist.2) Get an MRI scan and if it shows positive for ATFL ligament tear you need surgical repair which I have done plenty when I was in UK.Meet a specifically Foot And Ankle Orthopaedic surgeon in a Metro city
