I completely understand why you are feeling so worried right now. When you have been dealing with discomfort and burning for six years it is very natural to examine the area closely and feel anxious about any slight visual changes you might notice. Please take a deep breath and try to relax. Does this look like Lichen Sclerosus? Looking closely at the photo you shared the area inside the blue circle is your vaginal vestibule which is the opening of the vagina. The tissue here is a mucous membrane so it naturally looks quite different from your outer skin. It is normally more pale pink or red. Based on this image I do not see the classic bright white crinkly patches or the severe skin fusing that we typically look for with lichen sclerosus. It actually looks like normal healthy anatomy to me. Understanding the Burning Your previous doctor mentioning vulvodynia makes a lot of sense. Vulvodynia simply means chronic vulvar pain or burning without a clear active infection or skin disease. Because the nerves in that specific area have been sending burning signals for so long the skin becomes incredibly sensitive. When we feel chronic pain we tend to inspect the area very closely and sometimes our normal natural anatomy can suddenly look alarming to us.
Next Steps
Please do not panic. Since the photo does not show obvious signs of a severe structural skin condition your main focus should be on managing that chronic nerve burning so you can finally get some relief.

This is not lichen sclerosis but if there is burning sensation you need to get it shown for checking any change in consistency or if there is some lesion internally or any tear or discharge
