Children do go through episodes of reduced appetite and spurts of increase intake during their growth spurts. Many times during and post infections the appetite does go down which will recover eventually. Its important to make feeding a pleasurable process both for the parent and child and not a compulsory chore. Every child eats to his or her stomachs content and not the parents heart content.
