No regular stool passing
Hello doctor My son is 4 year old. He passes stools once in 2 to 3 days Everytime . Or only if he gets stools that time only going. He goes to school regularly but in the morning when we ask him to pass stools he says it's not coming even after sitting for 10 minutes. He never complaint of any problem like stomach pain Eve if he passes stools 2 to 3 days once. He also take food normally and needed quantity. Is this normal to pass stools 3 days once ? What we need to to make to pass stools daily for him ? Regards Jegan

If your son is having no symptoms otherwise and growing well then you can try adding more fibre and fluids in his diet

If he is comfortable, eats food properly, doesn't have hard stools then, it is nothing to worry. Give him good amount of water, vegetables and fruits. Avoid maida items, apples, pomegranate, banana, excess milk, Bournvita, Complan, Pediasure, etc.

Give more cereals n other fiber containing food item, offer him lots of liquids, cut down milk quantity, always give whole fruits n continue toilet training
