The first cause for missing a period is pregnancy. It can be diagnosed by a urine test. If that is not the cause then you should seek a formal consultation with a Gynaecologist.

Yes periods can be missed in an anovalutory  cycle The most common reason besides pregnancy for a delayed period is weight gain n lack of exercise Other reasons can be Deranged thyroid levels Deranged prolactin levels Pcos
