No peace in life.
I feel depressed, I'm very sad. I do not even feel the urge to eat. Its been 2 years since I've been taking treatment from different psychiatrists. I've been put on different benzodizapines, antidepressants and different antipsychotics. I was told that I was suffering from depression. I always had these suicidal thoughts. Infact I was in ICU last year for the suicide attempt. I always tend to make some cuts on by body in anxiety. I feel so frustrated especially with these medicines, I'm fed up with them for 2 years now. Been sleeping on benzos all these while. Been on antidepressants, they've made me lethargic. I don't want them anymore, 2 yrs is a big time. I'm fed up with these. There's lot going on in my life and I'm not been able to cope up with it. I've started cutting myself again. How do I be normal again?

"Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a 'hot mess' or having 'too many issues' are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world." Anthon St. Maarten

Hi, I am sorry you are feeling this way. I am sure this is making you feel troubled. I see you and hear you. It takes courage to cut yourself and harm your own self. There is self hate in your system and I feel sad that this is arising. I feel sad that this world is failing you again and again and there is no help whatsoever that you are able to get and this life feels worthless. Feelings of self hate are coming from a sub conscious place in your mind where there might be an incident which is making you feel guilty and shameful about something. It’s making you hate yourself and not accept yourself one way or the other. We will have to create a safe space to bring that incident out and heal it in a subconscious space which can be opened up in trance. Once the emotions of guilt, grief and shame are brought out you will feel better. You’re brave. Stay ❤️

Hi... You need medication along with psychotherapy. You cannot keep your treatment limited to medications only. Medication address the symptoms neurochemically, whereas Psychotherapy/Counselling addresses the core issues (psychological) that are causing these symptoms. They both complement each other. Most people do not understand this and keep trying to treat themselves with one thing. Your urge to self harm/suicide requires immediate psychiatric attention. It needs to be addressed with medication as they have an immediacy of effect. Psychotherapy is a more detailed approach that will address it from the root.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
