Dear Doctor,
I would like to seek your advice regarding my daughter’s health.
• Age: 3.5 years
• Weight: 12 kg
• Appetite: She has very low appetite, is not feeling hungry, and refuses to eat regular food or fruits.
• Stomach discomfort: She sometimes complains of stomach pain, especially in the morning after waking up.
• Other symptoms: I have noticed small white thread-like eggs/worms around her anus, and she frequently experiences itching in that area.
Kindly advise on the next steps or treatment.

The child needs tests to identify the worms and worm medicine. Also physical check up is needed to rule out any issues. Height is not mentioned. It's as important as weight. Please visit a pediatrician for check up

1.You need to deworm the baby.
Give SYP Bandy 10 ml at night ( only once)
2.Avoid fast food and junk food
3 See if the child is suffering from constipation- if yes, increase fibre in diet ; food rich in fruits and vegetables, nuts, high fibre cereals like oats, jowar etc. Add ghee/ oil in her meal.
4. Start any food with small amounts daily and gradually build up the portion. You need to give that food for 3-5 days daily so that the child develops it's taste.
5.You can consider giving Lanzol junior and Domstal for a short course of 3-5 days to reduce the stomach pain.
6.Also consult a pediatrician for evaluation. Your child may be iron deficient so need to be started on supplements.
Although it looks like worm infestation, it's always advisable for you to take your daughter to a nearby clinic for examination since by the history you're providing child might be suffering from micronutrient deficiency. Hence it's better to take your child to a clinic / hospital in person
