New born sleep patterns
Hi all,I m confused about my 20-day-old daughter's feeding schedule. My doctor recommends waking her up every 2-3 hours to feed, but others advise against disturbing her sleep, warning it may affect her sleep patterns and temperament. Should I prioritize my doctor's advice or risk waking her up and potentially disrupting her sleep?..Her birth weight was 2.7 kgs.

Feed 2-3hrly. Take baby near to mother, give maximum skin to skin contact and access to breast, stimulate the soles gently. Baby should wake up and start feeding

There are two opinions about this. If weight is increasing and she is doing well, then better to let her sleep longer. In my opinion, the baby's behaviour is the best guide about how the schedule should be.
