Nevanav, mild uveitis
My mom has been diagnosed with kild uveitis. She was on 1 month medication course which included PredForte. She was fine while on this medication. After completing 1 month medication, we stopped giving her the drops, but today she again started having eye pain, photophobia, and redness in her left eye. We called up the doctor, he prescribed eye drop called Nevanac thrice a day along with Tear Drops twice a day. On the internet it is mentioned that it can be taken post surgery. But my mom never had any eye surgery. So will it be safe to give ger Nevanac eye drops? And why did the doctor prescribe Tear Drops?

You did what majority of the netizens do. Stop treatment on your own without following up with the doctor and half understanding what is written on the net. Uveitis needs regular follow up. Don’t worry about what is prescribed and next time read all the possible places a medicine can be used carefully on the net

Your doctor has prescribed the right medicines. Please do not stop the drops of your own. Uveitis can be severe enough to cause permanent vision impairment. So follow instructions of your ophthalmologist.

Have faith in the the doctor and not internet. The doctor has given you the correct medication. If it persists, see the ophthalmologist on person.
