Need Medical Advice
I was prescribed Dedep Plus and I have taken about one and a half tablets in total. After taking it, I started feeling headache, tiredness, heaviness in the head, and difficulty concentrating or reading letters on my mobile and in books. Because of these side effects, I stopped the tablet from yesterday. Since I am a working person, it’s becoming very difficult to focus on my work. Could you please advise how long it may take for these effects to go away and if I need to take any medicine or precautions to recover faster?

Hello, If your symptoms are manageable, I would recommend to continue medication for atleast 2-3 weeks. If not at all manageable, please consult Psychiatrist so that you will be helped in changing the medication to different ones.

Most side effects should improve within 24–72 hours after the last dose. Mild tiredness or concentration issues may linger up to 3–5 days as the medicine clears from your system
Next Steps
Drink 2.5 to 3 L of water/day which helps flush the drug out faster Get adequate sleep; avoid overstraining your eyes or brain for 1–2 days Avoid driving or precision tasks until vision and focus feel normal
Health Tips
Discuss with your psychiatrist they might switch to another mood stabilizer or antidepressant

Hi For faster recovery rest well, stay hydrated, avoid caffeine or alcohol, and don’t strain your eyes or overwork for a day or two. Usually, no extra medicine is needed. If the fogginess or visual strain continues beyond 4 days, consult your psychiatrist to discuss a milder alternative. Take therapy. You are feeling these symptoms due to combination of Clonazepam in your medication preparation You should take separate medications, Clonazepam on SOS basis Main medication should not be stopped abruptly, Continue escitalopram or reduce its dose to 5 mg if required Must discuss these queries with your doctor

After medicine is initiated, it can take upto 7-10 days for side effects to resolve. You can start with taking half tablet at night if side effects are interfering with functionality at work. Then can make it one tablet after a week. Take tablets by 7-8 pm after food. Hydrate and take plenty of oral fluids
