Need Good therapist
Hi, I am afraid of being publicly known of taking therapy. Also, since it is first time of me taking therapy, I don't know how to find once and speak to one. Seeking help

i understand your problem. if you are having problem to go to a local therapist for privacy reasons speak to someone over the phone. once your basic problem is sorted out you will be more confident.

Dear friend, i can empathise with you.... Every teen age girl thinks she is the only beauty full girl in the street and the whole street is looking at her, My dear friend do you have time to look at other persons, and comment on him, no. Every body in the world is as busy as you.

Hey There has been reservations attached to this field but things are changing very fast. I get very young people who take therapy with learning approach. Therapy is needed for different purpose I call it 3D - 1)Disorder 2)Distress 3)Development Disorder - are more clinical problems that are dealt with complex interventions. Distress - are when it's a one time irregularity like a job loss or a breakup Development - is when we require therapy for small stuff like interpersonal issues and day to day functioning. And life coaching to have more growth. Once a person knows this it's becomes easier to approach therapist. Also not everyone who goes to a psychologist has a Disorder Many intact 80% of my clients visit for Life coaching.

See a psychologist Online / offline. Choose according to your compatibility. Check his background his views & ideas on various subjects from their blog and sharing. Look for psychologist who practise evidence or scientific based therapies.

Please don't Judge all psychologist from one experience. It may sometime take time to get a compatible psychologist. Therapy is no more just "listening" . Today it's very much Goal and action oriented. Feel free to change a psychologist after 2 or 3 sessions if he is not result oriented and has no action or Treatment plan for you.

Hi thanks for your approach to Practo. I appreciate you are in positive path in seeking help from therapy. As here mentioned from different opinions from my colleagues, its based on your requirements and comfortability you can choose the therapist. People can approach therapist for many reason, like related to different issues emotional , family or personal or anything related to deal with day to day challenges. its not that any body are suffering from disease or disorder people have to approach psychologist/ therapist/ psychiatrist. Some time just for support or to step to better path in their life they approach counsellors/ therapist. Look into the portal, choose accordingly, the main ethics of the therapists -will always maintain confidentiality. I can understand your difficulty, thinking of whom to trust and how to get help. Stay positive, don't worry. take care
