1) Right lobe of
thyroid appears mildly enlarged by a solitary well defined encapsulated hyper echoic lesion measuring 24x17mm. No e/o cystic necrosis or calcification within it.
2) There appears a 17x9mm sized enlarged lymph node with preserved echoenic hilum seen in right submandibular region.
3) Possibility of benign thyroid nodule. Adv: FNAC
We have referred to a normal physican, he told us to wait for 3 months then we will again do a sonogram to see if the size of right nodule is increasing, if so then he advised to do FNAC.
My question is should we wait for 3 months or do FNAC aa soon as possible?
