Neck pulsations
Hi doctor I have anxiety from last 2 years..sometimes I feel pulsations in neck and I feel my heartbeat in neck.what is the reason? Pls let me know

It’s called palpitations….first taking medications like ssris for ur anxiety then ur palpitations may come down in 2weeks r so…

These are called palpitations which is normal when having anxiety. This happens because during anxiety as our heart rate increases and also we become hypervigilant ( extra sensitive to perceiving minor changes in our bodies) . You are feeling it in the neck because the arteries in your neck are pulsating faster than normal due to increased heart rate. It is nothing to worry about and will pass in a few minutes
