Hello sir,
First you have stop wearing braces and splints because it makes the jaw muscle weak. Because of excessive wearing made the neighbour muscles over active. So, you started getting pain and muscle spasms in neck.
Next Steps
Please visit a physiotherapist for complete assessment and management.
Health Tips
Eat soft foods avoid hard food items
Do jaw, neck and shoulder exercises
Gently knead the muscles around jaw and neck to relax the spasm
In TMJ it causes imbalance, wearing brace for long time definetely will feel like worsening condition.
You can visit nearby physiotherapy clinic for complete assessment.
Avoid hard chewing.
