The reason behind stiffness could be a muscle spasm and wrong posture... Do “chin tucks “ in sitting with neck in neutral position for 10 times. Repeat that exercise every two hours, Ice pack for at least 15 min over that area 2-3 times. Neck stretches and shoulder mobility exercises.

Overuse of the right shoulder for your domestic activities, hobbies, laptop and mobile use for prolonged duration and in awkward postures. Static loads, where you remain in one position for prolonged period, is the most harmful risk factor.
Next Steps

Hello there. There might be few reasons causing such pain. In shoulder & neck. Your sleeping position, your continuous sitting position if you are or were working earlier, any history of injury to neck or shoulder, lifting weights as in workouts.
Next Steps
Kindly get an X-ray for your neck as there seems a possibility of cervical spondylitis with muscle spasm. You can take painkillers or muscle relaxants as prescribed by an orthopedic or a physician. you can aslo visit a Physiotherapist to reduce the stiffness & pain in the form of taking heat / electrotherapy. traction can help too. alongwith exercises of neck & shoulder  in stretching & strengthening form.
Health Tips
Try to Use a firm pillow will medium thickness or a Towel roll under your Neck while sleeping. Keep stretching to avoid further pain & stiffness. You can start with hot packs at home.

Sounds like a muscle strain. However too hard to make a diagnosis as we need additional information. Might be good to have a physio consultation - is there weakness of your hand - do you have any numbness, sensations in your arm - can you lie on the bad side in the night - are your neck movements affected. We need more information....
Next Steps
try some general neck exercises chin tucks 15 reps with 5 sec holds scapular squeezes 10 reps of 5 sec holds If there is no burning pain use heat or use cold. Try volini leave it on without any fabric on it for some time. As we dont want the fabric rubbing it off.
Health Tips
Sit right with good neutral lumbar curve and do not poke your chin forward..
