In nerve conduction test, do one feel shock or electric current when test is being done? Isn't it harmful fir the nerves to get stimulated this way

Yes you do feel electric current shock. It is mild discomfort. There is no other way way to find amplitudes and conduction velocity of nerves. That's the normal function of nerve to get stimulated for muscle contraction.
