Myopia in both eyes

Asked for Male, 25 Years

Hi, I was using a -0.75 both eyes eyeglasses since 3 years. I now have difficulty seeing far away objects ,thus got my eyes tested yesterday. My Power has increased to -2 both eyes and the optometrist suggested a visit a doctor. Should I be worried?
