My Mother urgent help
My mothers 81 years is in hospital.she suffered stroke on 26 November. CT Scan and MRI along with bother tests were conducted. Showed infarct. On 2nd dec she kept sleeping. First transferred to neuro medicine ICU. Then she was shifted to general ward. Now she is just sleeping 24 hours. Occasionally coughing. Snoring continuously. Responding. But not opening eyes. Is it normal . why 24 hours sleep. Can some one pls pls elaborate. Her medicines list are enclosed. She is on RT feed.

Excessive sleepiness may happen following stroke. It may also be due to abnormal excessive electric current activity in the brain. EEG should also be done.
