Hello Sir , Recently my daughter is facing problem in seeing black board she is 4.5 years old. we visited opthalmologist and observed she is having Short eye sight of -2.75 Spherical , Cylindrical - and Axis 0 Degc in both eyes.
and her vision in both eyes are 6/9 with glasses doctor prescribed her eye glasses . And Some where I heard child will develop there eye sight until 6 years of age. After one month doctor suggested patching excercise of eye . Now I am confused whether to use eye glasses or not please suggest

If vision is not accurate without glasses ,
also,I see that it doesn’t improve to best vision even with correction of numbers,so it becomes necessary that she wears the spectacles .
Periodic check ups are very important and excessive near work or screen time should be avoided .
Regarding patching ,it should be done if child has worn glasses constantly for 1-2 months and there is no improvement.
She has to wear glasses regularly now, bcz good vision has to go for her eyes.
You can try patching / vision therapy for improving vision to 6/6 and mainy the power.
