My child wakeups in night

Asked for Male, 1 Years

My child is 6 months old, we have started giving external food in form of liquid and paste. Twise a a day along with milk breast feeding. Even after this he wakes up around 4-5 times in night and when my wife gives breast feeding he goes to sleep. Is this a normal ? do we need to feed him more ?he wears diaper in night

hi .. Dr janki here... this is due to his sleep association with breast feeding. whenever he transit from one sleep cycle to next he needs breast feeding. it usually goes away as child grow up .
