My child is passing watery stools more

Asked for Male, 1 Years

My child 11moths old is passing loose tools since yesterday more than 10 times a day. When I went to paedetrician, he suggested toximo antibiotics and mentioned that this will settle within three days no admission is required and I should keep my child hydrated. My child is active passed urine only two times a day. I am worried. Please suggest

You only mentioned loss stool - sudden increase in frequency- no fever , no blood in stool - that is the indication of giving antibiotics- that is Taxim -o syrup .But most common two cases of diarrhoea in this age group first is viral - 2nd is amibiosis - so need to give prebiotics like econorm and should add metronidazole syrup - warning signs are vomiting - lathergy - shrunken eyes , poor feeling- please monitor the baby - and consult again a paediatrician
