It would better if you visit clinical psychologist or psychiatrist instead of virtual consultation.

Hi Thanks for reaching out. How long has it been since your child is disengaged in the classroom. He is very active at home. It is important to determine what is causing your son to not show interest in the classroom. Your son is only five years old, it is natural for him to not show much interest in the classroom. With time he will develop his own personality. Consult a psychologist and explain about your son being disengaged in the classroom. With a psychologist you can explain about his learning ability, and his interaction with teachers and classmates in school. Try to not worry too much about your son. With a psychologist explain in detail about your son’s behaviour in the classroom.

Hi, It is important to understand the reasons causing this to enable you to addressing the underlying issues with your child. And whatever the cause, your child should be seen and heard. Their concerns and complaints should be taken seriously. The key is to prod, and to ask questions encourage your 5 year to talk freely . You can and should involve his teacher their observations and suggestions would help . If you are unable to assess the causes then consult a child therapist , it could be a sign of social or emotional issues, developmental issues, and/or teasing /bullying.

Hello, Good to know that your 5 year old is active at home. Somehow the child is not showing similar interest in the class room, which is concerning you. With the information provided by you, it can be inferred that he is not coping up with the studies, activities etc. Kindly partner with the teacher to understand the cause. She can observe his/her behaviour during school hours, with classmates. This can help to understand the cause. Communication is the key. You can inquire with your child with open ended questions like, how was your day at school? What do you like at school? Which activity do you enjoy? As the child opens up to you more, you can guide him/ her well through productive plans along with the teacher. You can connect for further professional guidance. Happy Healthy Living!

Hi. Try and understand from your child’s teacher as to why he isn’t as much active in class. Sometimes even if children are not showing any activity, they might be aware and conscious of what’s happening in class. He could feel shy to open up in class. It’s better you speak to the teacher to get a sense of his behaviour in class and then take action accordingly. If he’s not able to cope or there are any other reasons, it can be worked on. You can take help of a child psychologist.
Next Steps
Consult a child psychologist after evaluating if he needs one.

I can see that you're worried about your child's classroom behavior, and that's completely natural as a caring parent. It's essential to be patient with your child and offer them unconditional support. Give them the space to talk about their experiences and feelings. If this issue continues to be a concern, it might be a good idea to consult with a child therapist. They can provide valuable guidance and insights to ensure your child's well-being and success in the classroom. You're not alone in this journey, and there are experts ready to assist you and your child.
