My baby is 12 days old and he is having direct billirubin too high...around 16 and indirect 3.5. So i need appropriate consultation

Direct Bilirubin raised entails either some infection ( intrauterine), hepatitis, cholestasis( due to bile duct obstruction), or Galactosemia. He will have to be investigated along these lines and if need be U/S whole abdomen will have to be done.Meanwhile specify the colour of urine and stool

Good morning mam/sir. Your concerns are evident by the increase in direct component being very high in bilirubin,it mandates the complete evaluation and probably USG abdomen to rule out obtaruction in bile ducts.

check for staining of nappy and stool colour if pale like whitish then it's prudent to take pic so as you can show it to your concerned pediatrician

Definitely you need to consult pediatrician, high  direct bilirubin in baby needs evaluation..what is the stool colour and urine, whether urine satins the nappy ?
