My 6 months old baby girl has pubic hair
Is it normal !! My 6 months old baby girl is having visible pubic hair.. can you please guide. We are concerned and tensed about this..

While soft, fine hair on public area ( vellus hair) are normal in infants and children, the presence of coarse, dark, longer hair (terminal hair) is not - the kind which we see in pubertal age groups and adults. Such hair signifies premature adrenarche, which too maybe a benign condition upon evaluation

Check with a paediatric endocrinologist if you find it abnormal. It will warrant evaluation for growth, genital development and if required few basic tests
