My 5 year old daughter is having fever
My daughter(5.5 years) is having fever from last Thursday.we have done the malaria, typhoid test all are negative but blood platelet is low it is 99000. if we give the medicine in morning then after 1-2 hours she looks fine but later in the evening she again felt fever.I consult the doctor he gave medicines but till the medicine effect she feels fine then after she again felt fever. Not able to consider. What needs to be done next. Do i consult another doctor? or wait ?Please help

Looks like viral fever or Dengue like illness with low platelet counts. You have to monitor platelets at least once in 2 days. It should not drop down below 50,000. Give more fluids and meet your pediatrician daily or alternate days. In viral fevers fever will be there up to 5-7 days.
