My 5 month old kid has a temp of 98 deg
My 5 month old kid has a temperature reading of 98 degrees Fahrenheit (arm-pit and not rectal temperature). Is it normal ? He is 7.2kgs now. He has started taking liquids (carrot stew and raisins stew) along with mashed up potatoes or apple puree sometimes (only from this week). Until last week he was an exclusive breast fed baby. Are we doing the right thing coz elders and parents at home always stress us out asking to give rice and they still think that exclusive breast feeding will nowhere be sufficient for the baby. Your thoughts ? What is the truth and what is the myth ? It would be great to get it clarified.

Temperatures upto 100F are considered as normal.. It is recommended to give exclusive breast feeding till completion of 6 months. After 6 complementary foods should be introduced along with continuation of breast feeding.
Next Steps
Continue breast feeding
