He has tooth infection and he is having abscess as well. There is a swelling on on his gums and face. Doctors recommended to have extraction or root canal.just want to be doubly sure about the solution to the problem.

Hi! For a four year old all his milk teeth are important right now. As a pediatric dentist i would advise to go for a root canal treatment unless the tooth is badly damaged.
If the tooth is extracted at this age a space maintener would be required to preserve space for the permanent tooth.
