Muscle spasm
If I sit down for hours for office work I feel slight pain/discomfort in abdominal muscles and back muscles. This discomfort is gone few seconds after I lie down. I used to workout regularly but I have stopped working out after I have start experiencing this.I took zerodol th 8 which have reduced discomfort/pain to an extent.

Based on your given history Your condition looks like weakness/ strain on your back muscles. You need to meet a physiotherapist and learn back strengthening exercises . Keep doing it regularly and your symptoms will reduce. If it does not then get mri LS spine and review with orthopaedic doctor.
