Mumps infection
We have consulted physician on Practo on 8th July 2025 and completed 5 days treatment of my mother for Mumps infection. By when will we be able to see the swelling near ear and cheek going away completely ? Thank you.

In adults, mumps swelling (parotitis) resolves within 7 to 10 days, though this can vary depending on the severity of infection and immunity. Supportive care includes- Rest, Hydration, Warm or cold compresses If it persists beyond that or is unilateral, consult an ENT specialist.
