Please clear that can MRI be done if the patient who has an active permacath( for dialysis) embedded in the body?

Is it MRI compatible or not just make sure from your Surgeon . If not a shield can be used while going into MRI.

If tht perma cath is of METAL.. thn MRI CANNOT BE DONE.  if it is of latex and pvc.  Than it can be done.  U have to ask ur main doctor who inserted dialysis catheter
