My child is 2 years 8 months and he facing a problem of tooth decay, we found abscess in his gum. It occurred 3 times and after giving antibiotic it is finished. Yesterday we went to pedodontics for consultation. The doctor had identified 10 teeth for the root canal, and his suggestion is to complete the procedure with general anesthesia. He said the child will not be able to sit for such a long time.
I need a second opinion, . Your honest opinion will be appreciated.

As opined by your dentist for the need of multiple root canal treatments, your child seems to be very young to cooperate for long treatment appointments. Root canal treatments need to be precise for long term success. So general anesthesia seems to be a good option in such kids, provided proper evaluation is done before that.
