Mild pain around ear
I had ear surgery 6 months ago. Now it look everything ok but from one month I m feeling some mild and normal pain around my ear and sometimes it feels like any liquid is coming out but after checking there is no liquid comes . But mild pain is continuous. Dr. says that it's may be muscle recovery pain. Otoscopy shows everything is normal inside. Why I feel pain. It disturb me. Sometime it like stress around ear. Is there any chances of invisible infection which is not visible through otoscope ?

Hi. Any surgery involves some amount of minor injury to the tissues inside. Few minor nerves are invariably cut, without having any actual effect on the functioning of the body.  These tissue take time to heal because of which there can be a mild feeling of discomfort or even pain sometimes.  Most of the times, there is nothing to worry about.  However,  if the pain appears to be increasing in frequency or severity, it may need to be investigated.  Regards,  Dr. Aanchal, Therapeia centre,  Bangalore
