Have u got test for jaundice done & how do u know it's mild jaundice?? Sunlight has no role in decreasing jaundice. Watch for baby activity & increasing jaundice & have online consultation for better guidance.

Sunlight doesn't cure jaundice Only cure is photo therapy is it's more than 15 by day 4 Otherwise if its less than that, give baby exclusive breastfeeding

Sun therapy helps in controlling the jaundice to some extent if it is mild. As Sunlight is not possible, we have to observe the child. You can keep a watch on the yellowness of the skin. If it is upto stomach then need to get a test done. If upto thigh or palms or soles then need to get admitted. Hydration is equally important ie breast feeding should be done in every 2 hours as dehydration can further increase the jaundice. Blood group of mother and child is not an issue. Danger signs: not taking feeds, irritable or lethargic, jaundice upto palm and soles
