Suddenly my behind gum (one side) started paining a lot causing additional pain to my ear n head. I am not sure if its for wisdom tooth or something else..I am 32yrs n 14weeks pregnant so just wanted to check with I could use Metrogyl gel on that area to reduce pain.

Yes ! It is wisdom tooth pain only most propbably .
14week it is safest to perfom dental procedure .
Once its come to know that it is wisdom tooth pain only then go for extration ..
Metrogyl will not give relief in pain but it will help to reduce infection around that area.
Next Steps
Visit to your nearest dentist for clinical evualtion and followed by safest treatment.

Get a dentist opinion, you are in second trimester ( 4 to 7 months) which is safe for dental procedures. If issues are due to wisdom tooth, you can plan for extraction. After 7 months it is not safe for any dental treatments.

Do not use metronidazole during pregnancy or lactation period in any form, whether it's gel or tablet.
Warm water gargle, if no history of high pressure, mix a punch of salt to it. Continue doing it only if it's relieving the pain.
T. pyregesic 650, is a safe medication for partially relieving the pain, can take 3 times/day.
Post picture of the tooth region.
Make sure you do not have any ulcer formed anywhere underneath, which sometimes show same intensity to that of tooth ache.
