My doctor prescribed methylphenidate sr inspiral 10mg and 20mg
But when I went to medical only 20mg available
It's methylphenidate sr inspiral
I want to know can i take 20mg methylphenidate sr half by breaking it?
Doctor said first week take 10mg
But 10mg tablet was not available

I would advise not to break the tablet. As sustained release tablets are meant to slowly dissolve in you gastrointestinal tract. Breaking it will decrease the time duration of it's effect

Please ask your Doctor who prescribed this medicine. I understand that in the case of many people on this forum, their Doctors go on a long leave (out of India) immediately after prescribing such medicines and they don't carry their mobile phones with them.

Yes if composition is same for both Medicines and dosage is double u can half the given medicine and take it .
But next time take the 10mg tab as prescribed by your current doctor
