Azithromycin 250 mg syrup was prescribed for my daughter, just going to attain the age of 6 years, due to her sever fever, but local market is saying there is no 250 mg azithromycin syrup, they have 200 mg azithromycin syrup and 250 mg azithromycin tablets instead of syrup. Is there any alternate syrup for the said dosage for my daughter?? Is fever rises upto 103 deg F.
Azithromycin syrup is available as 200mg per 5ml only and Azithromycin tablets as 250 mg only. You can adjust Azithromycin syrup dose as per weight after discussing with your Pediatrician
