Medicine for throat problem
Since 4 days, i have throat irritation, some redness in throat,hoarse voice and dry cough. Cough has started 2 days ago. Body temperature hovering between normal to 99. Is it viral or bacterial infection? Can i take azithromycin 500 ? If yes, for how many days? Or i dont take any medicine and do salt water gargles?

Betadine gargle add 1ml solution in hot to warm water gargle it before meals. Azee500 one per day after food for five days.  Zerodol sp3 times a day after food for five days Montek lc one at night for five days.  Plenty of water n liquid. Light diet.

Hello, so you have any runny nose and body pains? These tend to be more typical for viral infections. Since you have had a bad throat for more than 3 days now we tend to give antibiotics.

Do salt gargles only if there's no fever , do steam inhalation Don't start antibiotics if u don't have fever.

Get complete blood count done to see whether it is bacterial or viral infection. Take azithromycin 500mg one daily for 3 days. Tab cetrizine 5mg one morning and one evening for 5days. Tab paracetamol 500mg one every 8hours for 3 days. Do hot saline gargles.
