MCV vaccine
Is MCV vaccine mandatory in india? I want to know about the side effects of this vaccine. Planning to give my 9 months daughter. Kindly suggest shall I go for it. I'm Little confused.

MCV that is meningococcal vaccine is not a mandatory vaccine in India as per IAP. It causes a serious brain infection called meningitis but is not very common so this vaccine is not recommended for all healthy kids. It is recommended for those at risk like immune deficient kids. Consult your pediatrician and decide.

Meningococcal vaccine is to prevent meningitis ( brain infection)in children. It is better to give the vaccine. Mostly recommended for immunodeficient children.
