Maxillary sinusitis
Initially it was started with throat infection and breathing problem and also one side cheek swelling. I went to general physician and he prescribed some antibiotics, with that breathing problem and throat infection are reduced swelling was not reduced. After few days started getting severe one side headache, again went to the same doctor. He prescribed again antibiotics and pain killers and suggested to go for paranasal x-ray of sinuses and few blood tests. Report says that symptoms are bileteral maxillary sinusitis. General physician said use antibiotics few days and it will be reduced. But headache and cheek swelling are not reduced. Any suggestions plz ?

Hello User, The facial swelling is a complication... This can also be due to fungal sinusitis where complications are common but the antibiotics doesn't work. X-ray won't help much in such cases...
Next Steps
visit a rhinologist or an ENT specialist... You will require a nasal endoscopy and a CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses...

You went to the wrong doctor! His knowledge is obviously outdated. X-rays give confusing data due to superimposition! A good ENT Specialist would have done a limited cuts NCCR- PNS coronal scans. Would have cost slightly more but given accurate information!
