Dear Doctor team ,
I am going to arrange marriage by shadi .com site while my fiance is taking anti dip resent medicines along with thyroid medication daily like following medicines over 9 years. She is quite normal and does jobs , independently handling everything. Externally not found any abnormalities her behaviour.
Prolonged taking these medicines will adversely affect our conjugal lives. These marriages are advisable for future consideration.

Stable psychiatric illness on regular treatment is not a contraindication to marriage. If she is functioning well, adheres to treatment, and has regular psychiatric follow-up
Being on antidepressants for many years does not automatically mean someone cannot have a happy marriage. The most important factors are whether she is emotionally stable, functioning well, taking treatment regularly, and being open about her mental health.
Some medications can affect sexual desire or functioning in some people, but these side effects are often manageable. Before marriage, it would be helpful for both of you to have an honest discussion and, if needed, consult her treating psychiatrist together.

Long-term psychiatric medication alone is not a contraindication to marriage. The key factors are her diagnosis, current stability, functioning, and capacity to consent/understand the marriage.
Also, the exact medicines and their indications should be verified before commenting on prognosis or marital/sexual effects. Please don’t advise against marriage solely because she has been taking psychiatric medicines for 9 years.
