Shivering means rapid rise of body temperature,nothing else,and is NOT symptomatic of malaria necessarily.
Viral infection is the commonest cause.
To confirm malaria,blood tests have to be done.

Even ordinary fevers can present with shivering...we can only confirm by investigating and clinical examination...
