GBS ( guillain barre syndrome) is a type of acute neuropathy which means that nerves get involved within a short period of time ( days or weeks). Due to this weakness of lower limbs followed by upper limbs occurs. In first week NCS can be normal as is seen in your daughter's case. Treatment of GBS is IVIG or PLEX . The treating Neurologist is the best judge to decide the option for management.
