Lower back sprain
Due to heavy weight pulling, lifting. Left lower back - near hip bone sprained. Resting for 2 days. No pain when laid back. Pain if I sit or stand.

Hi there.  From the history you gave, there can be multiple causes for your pain ranging from acute lumbosacral strain, acute lumbar disc prolapse to vertebral fracture. That being said. Most commonly such pts have acute LS strain/ muscle spasm.
Next Steps
my suggestion to you would be take some muscle relaxant/ pain killer for 3 days along with adequate bed rest.
