Have been experiencing lower back pain since last few days .. Tried stretching and a few yoga exercises but it doesn't seem to subside.
Though the pain is not too much it ia persistent since last couple of weeks.

Have you taken any medications? If not take a muscle relaxant and take rest. You can start with stretching once the pain subsides. If the pain still doesn't subside then you need to go for further investigation like XRAY and MRI
Yoga & stretching is good for back do continue
add MARKATASAN, BHUJANGASAN, HALASAN.
.just get done X ray lumbar spine (back) .
Your wt is another trigger factor for backache
