Lower back arthritis, sciatica & paresth
I have degenerated disks, arthritis and sciatica in my lower back. Am being treated for it. In your opinion would a reclining bed be better for my back rather than just a regular bed? I spend a great deal of my day in bed (my choice) where I watch tv & read. I just wondered if it was worth spending a lot of money for a reclining bed.

Dear mam As per your words it seems like, pain is not troublesome or you might be on analgesics, important is that how is the lesion on MRI today, which might progress towards surgery or may not that time will tell us but, Merely passing majority of time in to bed is not advisable whether it's straight or recliner. My advise is to follow Rehab program for Spine and Joint generously and learn certain muscular strengthening exercises to do at home to avoid future back related issues. It's advisable for you - whenever you sit, must have back rest. If you can afford to spend luxury of recliner you can, otherwise go for proper evaluation of you spine and other joints.
