Low pulse rate
I am suffering from typhoid fever and my pulse rate is reducing day by day yesterday it was 51, today 43. And I am admitted in hospital taking treatment as of 24 hrs no fever. Will there be any problem If it continues to drop and I don't have any other symptoms, also done with ECG and echo they are normal.

Hello Sir, Good to know that you are already making the recovery In typhoid what is sometimes observed is relative bradycardia that is with increase in body temperature in typhoid there is no proportionate rise in heart rate when ch occurs at the rate of 10 per degree C rise in body temperature. Because, your blood pressure is not mentioned and you are now not having any complaint, I suppose it to be normal. In such case even a temporary drop to 42 heart rate is fine. So, with Normal ECG and ECHO , your cardiac status is perfect and heart rate will return to normal once typhoid prodrome is over.
Next Steps
Hydrate properly
Health Tips
Avoid lots of standing or long walks till complete recovery.
