Low Platelet, High PDW and High MPV
I have got myself recently tested and has High PDW (20.58) and MPV (14.7) along with low platelet count i e. 108. What does this indicates?

Hello ,
Mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) are calculations done by a machine ... A high number of large platelets (high MPV) in a person with a low platelet count suggests the bone marrow is producing platelets and releasing them into circulation rapidly.
Also it could have been due to improper collection of blood by the phlebotomist.
