Low Platelet, High PDW and High MPV
I have got myself recently tested and has High PDW (20.58) and MPV (14.7) along with low platelet count i e. 108. What does this indicates?

Hello , Mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) are calculations done by a machine ... A high number of large platelets (high MPV) in a person with a low platelet count suggests the bone marrow is producing platelets and releasing them into circulation rapidly. Also it could have been due to improper collection of blood by the phlebotomist. Hope it answered your query. Regards
