Low lying placenta
Hello doctor m 24 weeks pregnant last week I had my Anomaly scan done d report wz bit disappointing for me as the report showed posterior low lying placenta maturity grade 1 and there is E/O small retroplacental clot measuring volume of 6 ml the clot shows cystic dengeneration , is this clot dangerous for me and my baby ??? M very tensed as d doctor said there are chances of preterm labour or placental abruption is it true??

yes. it is true. try to take rest , not to aggravate. There are medicines to make the clot disappear as well

No need to be tensed..It may disappear on its own..avoid unnecessary travel, intercourse..did u have spotting or bleeding recently?

Doctor is true in saying there is a possibility. You shud avoid strenuous activity including traveling for long distance and intercourse. However it may correct itself with due care
